Kinematic variables bridging discrete and continuum granular mechanics   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
It is known that there is wide, and at present, unbridgeable, gap between discrete and continuum granular mechanics. In this contribution, first, microscopic kinematic variables neglected in classical continuum granular mechanics are investigated based on the kinematics of discs in contact. Then, a kinematic variable called the averaged pure rotation rate (APR) is proposed for an assembly of circular discs of different sizes, which is then used to produce another two kinematic tensors with one equal to the deformation rate tensor and the other unifying the spin tensor and the APR. As an example, the kinematic variables are incorporated into the unified double-slip plasticity model. Finally, these theoretical analyses are verified using a two-dimensional discrete element method. The study shows that these kinematic variables can be used to bridge discrete and continuum granular mechanics.  相似文献

The indentation of single crystals by a periodic array of flat rigid contacts is analyzed using discrete dislocation plasticity. Plane strain analyses are carried out with the dislocations all of edge character and modeled as line singularities in a linear elastic solid. The limiting cases of frictionless and perfectly sticking contacts are considered. The effects of contact size, dislocation source density, and dislocation obstacle density and strength on the evolution of the mean indentation pressure are explored, but the main focus is on contrasting the response of crystals having dislocation sources on the surface with that of crystals having dislocation sources in the bulk. When there are only bulk sources, the mean contact pressure for sufficiently large contacts is independent of the friction condition, whereas for sufficiently small contact sizes, there is a significant dependence on the friction condition. When there are only surface dislocation sources the mean contact pressure increases much more rapidly with indentation depth than when bulk sources are present and the mean contact pressure is very sensitive to the strength of the obstacles to dislocation glide. Also, on unloading a layer of tensile residual stress develops when surface dislocation sources dominate.  相似文献

The complete integral of the system of partial differential equations governing the equilibrium bending of elastic plates with transverse shear deformation and transverse normal strain is constructed by means of complex variable methods. The process helps to elucidate the physical meaning of certain analytic constraints imposed on the asymptotic behavior of the solutions and shows that in the case of an infinite plate, any analytic solution has finite energy if and only if the bending and twisting moments, the transverse shear force, the displacements in vertical planes, and two other characteristic quantities vanish at infinity. An example is discussed to illustrate the theory.  相似文献

This research presents an analytical study of the interaction problem of an edge dislocation with a circular inclusion with a circumferentially inhomogeneously imperfect interface. The interface, which is modeled as a spring (interphase) layer with vanishing thickness, is characterized by that in which there is a displacement jump across the interface in the same direction as the corresponding tractions, and the same degree of imperfection is realized in both the normal and tangential directions. Furthermore, the interface parameter is nonuniform along the interface. In order to arrive at an elementary form solution, we introduce a conformal mapping function. Then the stress field as well as the Peach–Koehler force acting on the edge dislocation can be obtained from the derived complex potentials. Calculations demonstrate that the nonuniform interface parameter has a significant influence on the stress field.  相似文献

The elastic interaction between a screw dislocation and an elliptical inhomogeneity with interfacial cracks is studied. The screw dislocation may be located outside or inside the inhomogeneity. An efficient complex variable method for the complex multiply connected region is developed, and the general solutions to the problem are derived. As illustrative examples, solutions in explicit series form for complex potentials are presented in the case of one or two interfacial cracks. Image forces on the dislocation are calculated by using the Peach-Koehler formula. The influence of crack geometries and material properties on the image forces is evaluated and discussed. It is shown that the interfacial crack has a significant effect on the equilibrium position of the dislocation near an elliptical-arc interface. The main results indicate, when the length of the crack goes up to a critical value, the presence of the interfacial crack can change the interaction mechanism between a screw dislocation and an elliptical inclusion. 利用混合同余法产生了随机变量,将混凝土中的骨料简化为球体,采用循环比较法将随机变量赋给球心坐标(X,Y,Z),实现了混凝土骨料的空间随机分布,最终建立了三维混凝土数值模型。对模型整体进行单元剖分,将骨料、砂浆、界面层分别投影到该有限元网格中,采用多次网格划分技术完成模型网格划分。通过对算例进行有限元计算,结果表明该模型基本上反映了混凝土骨料分布的实际情况,较好地模拟了混凝土的不均匀性与各向异性,验证了建立该模型的方法是可行的。  相似文献

A cell mapping strategy based on Bellman'sPrinciple of optimality (BP) is proposed to solve the fixed final time optimalcontrol of strongly nonlinear systems with state and control bounds. Thefixed final time problem is transformed into a fixed final time-fixed finalstate optimal control problem by reversing the time. This transformationallows to solve the problem in the framework of the BP. Backward searchingalgorithms within the cell mapping context are used to obtain the solution ofthe new problem. This approach reduces considerably the computational effortrequired for the original problem when it is solved by a forward searchingapproach. The vibration control problem of damped and undamped variablestiffness oscillators with bounded stiffness tuning range is studied todemonstrate the effectiveness of the approach. 研究了半被动双足机器人的平面稳定行走的控制问题.基于弹簧质点模型,采用拉格朗日方法分别得到双足机器人单支撑阶段与双支撑阶段的动力学方程,对机器人系统的动力学方程求得周期解.应用非线性系统状态反馈线性化理论,在双足机器人的单支撑阶段和双支撑阶段中,通过控制双足机器人的腿长度,实现稳定的周期行走.在理论分析的基础上,对控制算法进行了仿真与研究.结果表明:在周期行走过程中,文中采用的变长度控制算法可以使双足机器人克服外界的干扰,并具有较强的抗干扰性.  相似文献
